Our History
Who ?
Arnold Law Company was established by Arnold Vardanyan, a highly accomplished lawyer with over 10 years of professional legal experience and more than a decade of advanced legal education.
Arnold Vardanyan is a dedicated Human Rights Advocate with extensive expertise in human rights protection, international law and European legal standards. His academic journey began at Yerevan State University in Armenia, where he earned his PhD in Law after completing his LLB and LLM degrees. He further expanded his knowledge at the Riga Graduate School of Law in Latvia, gaining in-depth insights into European law through both coursework and practical study visits to European Union institutions.
He subsequently completed an LLM in Human Rights at the University of Edinburgh, one of the world’s top universities, and was awarded the prestigious Chevening Scholarship by the UK Government. This experience strengthened his ability to contribute to both international legal scholarship and domestic legal practice.
As a legal scholar, Arnold has presented research at internationally renowned institutions, including the University of Cambridge, University of London, Université Grenoble, University of Zurich, the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law. He has published more than 20 scientific articles in leading academic journals and contributed to global legal publications. He also serves as a Visiting Researcher at the Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law and is a Member of the Human Rights Profile at Lund University in Sweden. He also is a Lecturer and Assistant Professor at Yerevan State University and the Advocates' Academy of the Republic of Armenia.Â
With over a decade of practical experience, Arnold has worked in both the public and private sectors. He began his career as an NGO consultant, later serving as an Assistant and then Expert in the judicial system of Armenia, ultimately becoming Head of the Legal Expertise Service at the Cassation Court of Armenia, where he drafted numerous key precedential decisions and contributed to the development of the national judiciary. He has also provided expertise to the Ministry of Justice, supporting legislative reforms including the development of the Criminal Code and Criminal Procedure Code of Armenia.
Arnold has extensive international experience, serving as a Consultant for the Council of Europe, the International Labour Organization, and other international organizations. He also provides expert consultancy to NGOs and governmental institutions and is qualified as an Assistant Counsel at the International Criminal Court.
With the aim of advancing the development of legal practice and promoting access to justice, Arnold founded Arnold Law Company. Under his supervision, the firm provides high-quality legal services to individuals and organizations in Armenia and abroad, representing clients in both domestic and international courts. Leveraging extensive domestic and international experience, the firm is committed to protecting clients’ rights, delivering strategic legal solutions, and ensuring justice is achieved across complex legal challenges.
